I had this really bad idea last week to go hiking at Grizzly Peak.  We experienced a rare stretch of cool temps and lots of precipitation over the past couple weeks (which was much needed!) but it led to cabin fever and the need for some nature therapy.  When my boyfriend and I arrived, it was pouring, the temperature dropped to 48 degrees, and you could feel the electricity in the air.  The trail was a mud bath.  It started to thunder.  So we had to bag the hike idea and instead made a loop on Shale City Road.  There were quite a few wildflowers in bloom on the side of the road and I had to jump out of the truck when I found Henderson’s fawn lilies.
