I can’t bring myself to call this plant by its common name “dwarf wooley meadowfoam.” I’m going to refer to it as Table Rock meadowfoam.  It’s the only place on the planet where this subspecies grows, so why not?  I discovered it was starting to bloom last Tuesday but my pictures turned out terrible.  The flowers are a federal species of concern and delicate so you have to be extra careful around them.  I went back yesterday and did a little better.

P1020230Trifolium depauperatum – povery clover.  Upper Table Rock, 01 April 16.  I love these! They’re also in bloom.

P1020245Lupinus bicolor – bicolored lupine.  Upper Table Rock, 01 April 16.  I’d like to update this picture with a better shot soon.  I didn’t realize how gorgeous the flower is and this picture doesn’t do it justice.  It’s also in bloom.

P1020225Thysanocarpus…cuvipes or radians – fringepod.  Not sure but they’re interesting!  Upper Table Rock, 29 March 16.

P1020249Upper Table Rock annual spring super bloom <— funny, right? 01 April 2016.  Yes…I snapped this with the macro lens!  Sorry.  I’m too impatient to ever be a great photographer.  Until next time…
