Rainie Falls trail

Rainie Falls trail (along the Wild & Scenic section of the Rogue River) – 10 May 2016.

Lots of unique flora along this trail.  My favorite find was the ground-cone or Boschniakia strobilacea (that’s a mouthful) and was a first find for me as well. This is a popular trail.  It is four miles roundtrip and there is tree canopy most of the way. We saw fish swimming upstream at the “falls” and witnessed rafters get stuck on the rocks.  It’s not much of a falls, but is still a very beautiful section of the river.
